2009 Tournament Spotlight

On Monday, October 5, 2009, the 13th annual GWAHU Golf Tournament returned to Norbeck Country Club in Olney, MD.  Ninety golfers took advantage of the beautiful afternoon to tee-it-up to raise money for CureSearch (National Childhood Cancer Foundation & Children's Oncology Group).  GWAHU would like to give a special thanks to Clark Sisson and his staff at Norbeck for providing us with a golf curse that was in picture perfect shape and the foundation of a great event.  We would also like to thank Dennis Noonan and Tom Smith from Nemacolin Woodlands Resort for providing the tournament's raffle with a weekend trip for two to the luxurious Pennsylvania resort, without a date our most valuable raffle prize to date.  And finally, we would like to thank CureSearch's Tony Covington, director of corporate relations and former NFL safety, and all of our event participants for helping us once again raise thousands of research dollars to help combat the effect of childhood cancer.  Thanks again and we hope to see you all next year.
